There is a big push for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activities in our schools. STEM activities can be an exciting way to engage and involve students in programming, science and math. However, involving all students in STEM activities can be challenging for teachers and therapists. Luckily, today’s technologies provide opportunities to actively include allstudents in STEM activities. This hands-on workshop will give participants opportunities to explore and adapt tools, such as microscopes, probes, apps, robots, etc. We will also explore how to make basic coding accessible. Participants will learn how to adapt activities and curriculum, making them accessible to a variety of learners. During this workshop, we will demonstrate fun and practical ways to involve all students in a meaningful way in STEM activities. Participants will then apply approaches they learn during the workshop and apply them in hands-on activities throughout the day. Participants are encouraged to bring their own iPads.
